The senses through which Murtić recognises his leitmotif are spellbinding in their assuredness. Unlike many other painters, captivated by the “beauty of the motif” or becoming immersed in its banality (Grad, Mogranj), Murtić manages to transform it, thanks to an artistic expressive power, into the pure triumph of painting. Like a magic wand, his unerring brush reveals the lines of earth that have a magnetic power and the nodes of the structure in which fields of powerful radiation and significance intersect.
